Metal HPL
Metal HPL is a range of laminates with a sheet of real aluminium on the surface.
The metal sheets are very thin, just 0.1 or 0.4 mm, so that they can be processed using standard machinery for use with wood.
The aluminium is protected via anodisation (items 7007, 7131, 7134, 7138) or by a layer of epoxy lacquer (items 2001, 7135, 7777).
All these decorative elements are suitable for vertical use only, due to their lack of resistance to scratches, scuffs and chemicals.
Aluminium is very delicate and hot objects or adhesive tapes could ruin the surface.
The appearance of Metal HPL changes when it is rotated by 90 or 180°.
Metal HPL can be cleaned with a soft cloth and with soap and water, avoiding the use of solvents which could damage the surface.
Metal HPL can be matched with different kinds of surfaced panels (see KUIK Metal) and also with the ABS edge (see Edges).
Metal HPL can be supplied in Class 1 from a thickness of 0.7 to 1.0 mm for civil applications or with MED certification for naval applications in a thickness of 0.9 mm.
Metal HPL can be used to surface the methacrylates of the MATRIX range.
Metal HPL can be applied to 1 or 2 sides of numerous supports.
The technology used to surface the panel with impregnated films, with neither glue nor water, guarantees a perfectly flat surface with no orange peel effect, as well as an even and permanent grip.
