Onda HDF

ONDA is a carved HDF high density wood fiber board with initial thickness 18 mm. The final thickness depends on the depth of the carving and varies from zone to zone.
ONDA is ready to be varnished or lacquered.
ONDA can be delivered already surfaced with the items 0,5 mm thick of the range KUIK Acrylic.
SM’art has in stock a range of colored through HDF in thickness 8 mm. These panels can be surfaced with many items of the HPL families, with KUIK Metal, with KUIK Acrylic and with KUIK Veneer and then machined with designs which are not very deep, which are leaving a narrow trace of HDF, so that the board does not need to be lacquered.
BiONDA is a bi-color HDF panel in thickness 16 mm, constituted by two HDF dyed in the mass layers each 8 mm thick.
The carvings get through the superficial layer, showing some areas of the layer below.
Taking advantage of the color contrast between the two layers and the tridimensional carvings, we can achieve highly scenic effects.
The different colors can be custom matched, as well as the available sculptures, make of BiONDA an extremely personalized product.
One more aesthetic solution is to surface BiONDA with all the items belonging to the “KUIK Veneer” family and then process the carving with suitable finishes, that should leave intact some superficial areas. The panel has then to be varnished.
BiONDA can also be produced in LAYER version. Between two dyed HDF panels, showing the same color or two different ones, a sheet of aluminum KUIK Metal A00 or a sheet of KUIK Acrylic is interposed, so that the deep carvings show off also the intermediate layer. You will get astonishing by the color contrast and the shine of the aluminum layer.
BiONDA LAYER can also be used by simply machining the sides of the panel with the right angle exalting the intermediate layer. In this case the natural applications are tables and shelves.

ONDA and BiONDA panels are all in size 3050x1220, which allows the cladding of any wall.
All designs have been studied to guarantee the continuity of the design when 2 panels are joined both on the long and the short side.
Some of the carvings developed for ONDA are not suitable for BiONDA.
The carvings presenting a vertical direction in the design, are available also in the H version, that is with an horizontal direction.
